Description pip 2011-10-11 10:07:42 UTC
Description of problem:
After opening a great number of pages (e.g. google mail, nytimes.com, www.bbc.co.uk, www.linux.com), Firefox is irresponsive, though the CPU usage is low. Seems only to happen if any of the Plugins (not Extensions!) is enabled.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
firefox.i686 0:7.0.1-1.fc16

Additional info:
The same is happening in FF 6.0, but not in FF 5.0 (both downloaded from koji).

Comment 1 Abdel Gadiel Martínez Lassonde 2011-10-11 15:07:41 UTC
The posible solution is to disable all the plugins. It worked for me.

Comment 2 Matěj Cepl 2011-10-12 18:59:07 UTC
That's not the solution but running away of the problem.

Reporter, do you see in top (run in gnome-terminal) some particular process behaving badly when this happens?

Thank you for helping to make Fedora awesome!

Comment 3 pip 2011-10-12 23:10:12 UTC
Every process run normal, even Firefox was below 10% of CPU load.
Now, with some package updates, even with all the plugins enabled Firefox runs as it should.
Let's wait a bit more, though, before closing this bug report, some of the packages I updated were downloaded from kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org, i.e. they were not in the ordinary update channel.
