Description of problem: I was quite surprised this morning that I need to upgrade PostgreSQL on my desktop computer (actually on all my desktop machines). I wasn't aware I have it installed at all. Until I tried yum remove postgresql\* and got this line in the log --> Processing Dependency: libpq.so.5()(64bit) for package: redland-1.0.7-11.el6.x86_64 (the same goes for MySQL libs). Also, when I have discussed this with OOo developers, I got this comment: ... we don't need any of [database backends] in LO though, it just uses in-memory storage. perhaps the redland package could be split up or something Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): redland-1.0.7-11.el6.i686 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1.yum remove postgres\* mysql\* 2. 3. Actual results: Whole openoffice.org should be removed. Expected results: <error message explaining we don't have those libraries installed on desktop at all>
