This issue affects the installation of RHEL as a guest on XenServer. The xenfs module is not included in the installer initrd. It provides access to xenstore and is used by custom changes to the installer that permit installation using VNC. The module is built and included in the installed kernel. Affects both RHEL 6.0 and 6.1.
Do we need to load xenfs manually when the installer environment starts up, or will the act of doing something else (e.g., device discovery of some sort via udev) cause the xenfs module to load?
No, our installer patches will mount xenfs explicitly. We just need the module present in the initrd.
