Some metacity-related discussion can be found at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=82917 If you're using Sawfish I think edge-flipping is still there, but I'm not sure. Note that on 8.0 upgrade you'll have metacity by default and will need to switch over if you want the extended feature set offered by Sawfish. In any case, we won't implement the edge flipping feature on the Red Hat level, we will just have it if the upstream window manager projects have it.
