Description of problem: Squid keeps dying. abrt/libreport do not seem to be catching it. I do not know why. Here is the email I get: To: root Subject: The Squid Cache (version 3.2.0.13) died. You've encountered a fatal error in the Squid Cache version 3.2.0.13. If a core file was created (possibly in the swap directory), please execute 'gdb squid core' or 'dbx squid core', then type 'where', and report the trace back to squid-bugs. Thanks! Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): squid-3.2.0.13-1.fc16.x86_64 How reproducible: This happens hundreds of times a day now.
Hi, could you attach /var/log/squid/cache.log file (or a part of the file). Thanks Jiri
Jiri, I am afraid I was supposed to add something last night, that being: The kernel and glibc fixes a day or two ago seem to have fixed this. It has gone from crashing hundreds of times an hour to not crashing at all. I cannot explain this.
Ok, I'm going to close the bug. If the troubles come back feel free to reopen it and attach please the log file to BZ. I'd like to give you a notice about squid-3.2.0.13-3.fc16 that currently is in testing repository and fixes three bugs (see bodhi for details).
