Description of problem: /etc/lvm/lvm.conf has gotten the new option mirror_segtype_default which can be used to enable the new MD raid backend but if I'm not mistaken, this functionality is labelled as tech-preview in RHEL6.2. Since /etc/lvm/lvm.conf is very well annotated, I think it would be good to include a comment in that file that points out the MD-raid is tech preview Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): lvm2-2.02.87-3
Discussing this with Jon Brassow, the note about tech preview is probably superflous but a note should be made that MD is incompatible with cluster
Since RHEL 6.2 External Beta has begun, and this bug remains unresolved, it has been rejected as it is not proposed as exception or blocker. Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to propose this request, if appropriate and relevant, in the next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Technical note added. If any revisions are required, please edit the "Technical Notes" field accordingly. All revisions will be proofread by the Engineering Content Services team. New Contents: No documentation needed.
