Description of problem: So This really isn't a big problem with me, I just downloaded 16beta to help you all iron out the bugs. When I let my computer sit and the screen shuts off, I come back to the system being completely locked up. The background is kinda messed up and all the apps are frozen. The only thing I can do is move the mouse. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Beta I guess? How reproducible: Every time the screen goes into standby mode. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Let the computer sit 2. The screen shuts off 3. Try to get back on and use it. Actual results: Expected results: Additional info: Build info: AMD x64 Phenom CPU DDR3 RAM Two monitors (might have something to do with it) So I'm kind of new to the whole linux community (I've used it a ton on servers) But I've never bug reported or really used desktop before. I'm just trying to help :)
I'm seeing the same problem with an Intel Sandy Bridge and Sandy Bridge graphics. I am also using two monitors.
Some additional info: When locking the screen, the screen goes black, and then the desktop immediately comes back, but appears somewhat "messed up". I noticed that when moving the cursor around, it turns from pointer arrow into the text entry cursor. If I click when it is in text entry mode and enter my password followed by "Enter", it restores my desktop. So it almost seems as if the lock screen dialog isn't showing up but is still there.
This appears to be working correctly for me in Fedora 16 Release Candidate 1.
Great news. Thank you for letting us know. I'm going to close this out for now. If you see it again, please reopen the bug.
