You can forcibly enable it with "nouveau.noaccel=0" in your kernel boot options, but, you'll likely see horrible misrendering of gnome-shell as a result. > 2-The rendercheck doesn't passed all tests. As nouveau isn't actually doing the rendering on your chipset, this is likely a pixman bug. > > Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): > Fedora 16, updated > > Additional info: > I use the driver nouveau, it's the only video driver active.
Ok, the "nouveau.noaccel=0" option is very bad with my card. And I can't use the nVidia's driver aka « the blob » for the tests. Why can I help the nouveau project without nVidia's driver (for REnouveau) ? I don't find an other method to dump my card… I want help nouveau to increase the support of my card. Thank you.

Yes, I know, hence why it's disabled by default :) > And I can't use the nVidia's driver aka « the blob » for the tests. > > Why can I help the nouveau project without nVidia's driver (for REnouveau) ? It's okay, I currently have access to one of these chipsets anyway, I haven't yet been able to determine why it doesn't work however. > > Thank you.
I've got one of these in my new Lenovo Thinkpad W520. If I can help here, please let me know.

Awesome. I ended up updating to rawhide and things definitely work much better there.
any updates on if this will be fixed in f16?
The problem is solved now. ;)
