Description Zdenek Kabelac 2011-10-24 08:55:46 UTC
Description of problem:

I'm seeing it as an GUI 'obstruction' and bug to disallow windows resize operation and attach slider on the right side - since my screen has comfortable size (1600x1050) to allow all the supported configuration apps to be visible at once. This in affect affects many other control-center apps.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
control-center-3.2.1-1.fc17.x86_64

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual results:
Windows is opened with just 677x567 pixel size with slider and doesn't remember it's last position

Expected results:
On my much larger screen this window could be easily opened with a size displaying all control settings at once (since there are not many of them anyway). Position and size of the windows should be remembered.

Issue still present with 3.2.2:

$ rpm -qf /usr/bin/gnome-control-center
control-center-3.2.2-1.fc16.i686

Comment 2 Paul 2012-02-01 18:12:35 UTC
I confirm an issue on x86_64 and control-center 3.2.2 as above. However the accesibility window change its size, and if opened first (for example via tray icon) forces whole control-center to keep this size (quite wider).

Comment 3 Matthias Clasen 2012-05-19 02:27:04 UTC
This is not a bug - the control-center is designed to be not resizable.
