Description of problem: clicking on hyperlinks(web links) which are present in a pdf file or yumex freezes firefox and fedora no way to recover(not even alt+F2 works).only hard (prezzing the button) shutdown to recover from freeze ,which kills the entire session. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Fedora 16(current) version of firefox which says 7.0.1 How reproducible: click on any hyperlinks(weblinks) from any other application which should open in firefox. Steps to Reproduce: 1.open a pdf containing weblinks or yumex click on any site links 2.firefox opens and then ... 3. Actual results: Firefox freezes and within a second or two whole Environment freezes. no way to kill firefox , no way to open a terminal or any such thing. Expected results: firefox should gracefully open the link and display the content of that webpage. even if something bad happens , alt+F2 or such mechanism should work. Additional info: I'm using fedora 16(completely yum updated as i write) desktop environment Gnome 3 and i haven't contaminated it by installing any other libraries like QT4. I don't know any work around expect shuting the whole thing down , which is pathetic if this is a known bug please quickly stomp on this bugreport and yeah also the bug , if possible quickly :).
it's not a bug? say anything, otherwise close this report , looks pretty bad, an unanswered bug! cheers.
We're really sorry for late answer, are you seeing this problem latest version of Firefox (11)?
I think the hyperlinks are working just fine in FF 12,please keep this bug open for another 3-4 days, if i or anyone else doesn't comment or complain about any issue in that period, you should close this bug, i almost forgot about this filed bug! so keep it open for 3-4 days and after that you can close it(ofcourse if you don't mind!).
