Please test your media following these instructions:

Went into BIOS and changed processor speed from 2.0 to "Compatible" speed (1.2)
Attempted install again and this time it finished without error
(though it is not booting up correctly, a video problem of some sort)

To be more precise, I changed "boot speed", not processor speed
