Description of problem:
in recent v7 1.4-30 package, the kudzu devices part is missing from hardware.log, and the xml, resulting in that catalog is not able to parse the gzip result nor the rpm one.

Hey, this patch reverted the patch in bug 711155, do we have a better solution?
