Description zou.chris 2011-10-28 03:20:23 UTC
[Description of problem]:
Many error occurred in rhel6.1 hwcert with v7-1.4.30 in intel Romely Platform

[Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable)]:
The latest hardware certification tool v7-1.4.30.

[How reproducible]:
[Steps to Reproduce]:
1. When we perform the latest hwcert tool v7-1.4.30 in intel Romely platform, the cert result show many errors.
fv_network - FAIL
info - FAIL
reboot - PASS
kdump nfs - FAIL
kdump local - FAIL

2. When perform hwcert tool v7-1.3.46 in Romely:
fv_network - PASS
cpuscaling - FAIL info - FAIL
reboot - PASS

3. When we check the "cat /proc/sys/kernel/tainted", the number is 0.
4. We check another Thurley platform, the tainted number also is not 0.

[Actual results]:Many items FAIL, refer to the result mentioned above.

[Expected results]:PASS

[Additional info]: It will impact our product rhel hardware certification submission.

Update and modify the error in iterm 3 in [Steps to Reproduce]:

3. When we check the "cat /proc/sys/kernel/tainted", the number is 0.

Change into

3. When we check the "cat /proc/sys/kernel/tainted", the number is not 0,
when we perform "chkconfig cachefilesd off", reboot the OS, the tainted will show 0, I doubt it will impact INFO result in hwcertification.

Please attach the test results. You can use "v7 save", then attach the compressed results file it produces to the bug.

Comment 3 zou.chris 2011-11-10 07:16:58 UTC
When we use v7-1.4.36, fv-network is fail, and we will try install GOS manually.
BTW, we will keep tracking the issue in later.

For any remaining issues can the results be uploaded?

Comment 5 zou.chris 2012-05-10 00:38:43 UTC
Suggest close it, we had fixed this issue
