Description of problem:

gnome 3 failed to start and started in fallback mode

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
X version
x86-07 2..6.32-131-2.1.el6.x86_64
current os Linux localhost.localdomain 3.1.0-0.rc6.git0.3.fc16.i686

VM setup with 989 M memory

F14 runs well on this configuration

How reproducible:

Create Virtual Machine using iso

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create Vm Using 
2.boot iso
3.
  
Actual results:
live media starts up with error 

Expected results:
live media starts up without error

This is expected - the graphics hardware provided by VMWare is not enough at this time to run the full GNOME 3 experience.

Actually, have you enabled 3D accleration in your VMWare configuration?

I added it to the config, but it doesn't work. I have read that vmware player doesn't support them, but virtual box does.

This should be working with llvmpipe in F17 if you don't have the guest additions installed.  It may even be working with the vmwgfx 3d driver as well.
