Description of problem: vnstatd does not start, error in Log-File is: Oct 31 07:59:28 han vnstatd[12465]: vnStat daemon 1.11 started. Oct 31 07:59:28 han vnstatd[12465]: Error: pidfile failed, exiting. This is because of /etc/tmpfiles.d/vnstatd.conf is missing for systemd in F16. You should add this file to the rpm: # cat /etc/tmpfiles.d/vnstatd.conf D /var/run/vnstatd 0755 vnstat vnstat - Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): vnstat-1.11-2.fc16.i686 How reproducible: Every start of vnstatd Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install and configure vnstatd 2. Try to start vnstatd with systemctl start vnstat.service Actual results: vnstatd does not start Expected results: vnstatd to start
