Description Joachim Backes 2011-11-02 07:04:55 UTC
Description of problem:

I'm trying to open a m3u radio stream by
firefox-7.0.1-3.fc16.x86_64x, but nothing happens. I'm sure that an elder firefox
in F16 was already able to play such streams. Playing the m3u streams
directly by vlc is OK (for example: "http://streaming01.sr-online.de/sr2_2.m3u")

Firefox's error console says:

Error: gBrowser.addProgressListener was called with a second argument,
which is not supported. See bug 608628.
Source File: chrome://browser/content/tabbrowser.xml
Line: 1862

This happens even if all FF extension are deactivated.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
firefox-7.0.1-3.fc16.x86_64

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open the URL http://streaming01.sr-online.de/sr2_2.m3u
2.
3.

Actual results:
Black window, no sound

Expected results:
The radio stream will play

Do you use any plug-ins? Can you attach content of "about:support" and "about:plugins" here? What happens if you run firefox with new and clean profile? (by "firefox -ProfileManager")

Comment 2 Joachim Backes 2012-02-15 07:48:58 UTC
At least with firefox-10.0-2.fc16.x86_64 there is no more a problem to play m3u radio streams, so I will close the bug.

Comment 3 Martin Stransky 2012-02-15 08:05:46 UTC
Okay, thanks.
