There is long standing bug in perl that can lead to data corruption: > $ perl -e'sub f { for (1..5,@x) { print ++$_ } print "\n"; } f;f;' > 23456 > 34567 This issue is tracked by upstream <https://rt.perl.org/rt3/Public/Bug/Display.html?id=3105> without any resolution. Tested on Perl 5.12.4. All Perls affected (probably, not checked).
