Description of problem: It's not possible to add bookmarks in nautilus. Ctrl+D does not work, same as Bookmarks -> Add Bookmark in the manu. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): nautilus-3.2.1-2.fc16.i686 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Highlight/select a directory 2. Ctrl+D 3. Actual results: No bookmark added Expected results: Bookmark added, visible in Bookmarks menu and a side pane Additional info:
Dragging a directory icon to the side panel does not add bookmark either.
Bookmarks are stored in the file ~/.gtk-bookmarks in 'file:///<Path/to/file/or/folder> <BookmarkName>' format. here is mine: [malek@TOSH-Malek]$ cat ~/.gtk-bookmarks file:///home/malek/Documents file:///home/malek/Downloads file:///home/malek/Music file:///home/malek/Program file:///home/malek/Electronics So if you want add a directory to the bookmarks just use [User@PC]$ gedit ~/.gtk-bookmarks then : add the path with the format file:///<Path/to/file/or/folder> <BookmarkName>

It used to work back in Gnome 2.32 days.
This message is a reminder that Fedora 16 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 16.
