From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/3; Linux) Description of problem: When trying to add an applet to the panel from the kdetoys RPM (3.0.3-1), a handle is created for the applet but the applet never appears. Have tested with eyes, fifteen, weather, and worldwatch. I have tested this on an athlon system and an intel PIII system to make sure it would reproduce across sytems, and neither one could launch the applets. I'm experiencing the same problem on my system: Linux loki.[omitted] 2.4.18-19.8.0 #1 Thu Dec 12 05:39:29 EST 2002 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux with kdebase-3.0.3-14 kdetoys-3.0.3-1 My system has all Red Hat Linux 8.0 updates installed.
It's fixed in 3.0.5a, which will be released as errata soon.
