Description of problem: While booting from the Live CD Image (from USB Memory Stick) the KDE boot splash seems to make a very long sleep (you can wait for minutes here) after the second icon faded in. It seems the sleep can be shortened by pressing some keys or moving the mouse but this is just a subjective reception - maybe the duration of the sleep is random by any reason. When it goes on, there appears a error message in a dialog box (red X, OK button): "Unable to save bookmarks in /home/liveuser/.local/share//user-places.xbel. Reported error was: Insufficient permissions in target directory.. This error message will only be shown onve. The cause of the error needs to be fixed as quickly as possible, which is most likely a full hard drive" After confirming the error message, the system boots fine for this run. Interesting too: after installing Fedora with the Live Image the first boot from the hard drive (installation target) shows the same behavior. After then, everything works well. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Fedora 16 Live CD (KDE) Final Release (Downloaded on 11-08-2011) How reproducible: Reliable, it happens each time. I have seen it on i686 and x86_64 systems, booted from USB Memory Stick. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot Live CD Image (from USB Memory Stick) 2. Wait for KDE splash screen 3. After the second icon faded in, it seems to freeze 4. After it went on, the error message above appears Actual results: pls. see above - the system takes a very long sleep during KDE splash screen and ends up with an error message. Expected results: Flawless boot into desktop. Additional info: N/A - pls. mail me if you have questions. Thanks.
