Yes, it does now what you had described in bug #741195, comment #3 (including the bridge difficulties). On my machine I have a br0 bridge and also em1 interface which is added to the br0 device. 1) When I run arping without -I specified it takes em1 as default interface (and I would like it to be br0 because em1 doesn't work in this case). 2) arping(8) still says that -I option is required which still doesn't match the reallity. Note: There's still my proposed solution, which solves these problems (and could be better acceptable for upstream) ;-)
iputils-20101006-11.fc16 has been pushed to the Fedora 16 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
