Description Vaclav Ehrlich 2011-11-10 12:29:01 UTC
Filed from caserun (https://tcms.engineering.redhat.com/run/30554/#caserun_748728)

Tested on Lenovo T520 with Lenovo dock station type 4337
kernel : 2.6.32-217.el6.x86_64

Steps to Reproduce:
Be docked and obtain headphones and microphone.

 1. Connect headphone and microphone to your docking station.
 2. Play some sound.
 3. Try to record some sound (use arecord for example).

Actual results:
Recording works fine. But listening does not work from dock station.

Expected results:
Audio IN and OUT should work properly and you should be able to listen and
record music.

address this request at this time. Red Hat invites you to
ask your support representative to propose this request, if
appropriate and relevant, in the next release of Red Hat
Enterprise Linux. If you would like it considered as an
exception in the current release, please ask your support
representative.

What is the status of this?

Comment 4 Vaclav Ehrlich 2015-11-30 13:03:39 UTC
(In reply to Wim Taymans from comment #3)
> What is the status of this?

I don't have T520 any more and I don't use RHEL6 any more. From my side it's impossible to retest this case (because four years passed)

Comment 6 Jan Kurik 2017-12-06 10:26:27 UTC
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 is in the Production 3 Phase. During the Production 3 Phase, Critical impact Security Advisories (RHSAs) and selected Urgent Priority Bug Fix Advisories (RHBAs) may be released as they become available.

The official life cycle policy can be reviewed here:

http://redhat.com/rhel/lifecycle

This issue does not meet the inclusion criteria for the Production 3 Phase and will be marked as CLOSED/WONTFIX. If this remains a critical requirement, please contact Red Hat Customer Support to request a re-evaluation of the issue, citing a clear business justification. Note that a strong business justification will be required for re-evaluation. Red Hat Customer Support can be contacted via the Red Hat Customer Portal at the following URL:
