That backtrace seems not too useful, I'll see if I can reproduce it... in the meantime, if you could get some debuginfo and get a better backtrace, would be appreciated.

Comment 2 George 2011-11-24 01:20:23 UTC
I have the same problems in 32bit fedora 16.

Comment 3 Jesse 2011-11-27 16:38:08 UTC
I can confirm this bug on Gentoo amd64 as well, so it should probably be reported upstream.

Comment 4 George 2011-12-01 04:16:19 UTC
It looks like my problems may have been caused by a rogue plasmoid, you may want to try shutting them down one by one until the crashing stops.

Comment 5 Jesse 2011-12-01 11:15:43 UTC
What plasmoid? KDE guys said it's probably a Qt 4.8 issue.

(more useful) backtrace

My apologies for the delay in uploading a proper backtrace. I didn't have convenient access to download 900+ MB of debug symbols. Also, this backtrace is from the 32-bit version, which exhibits the exact same behavior. Should I submit a new bug report?

Fedora is updated to latest version. Crash still happens in the same manner.

Hello,
sorry for answering this late. I experienced this issue, too, when I installed Fedora 16 but after updating it in February, the application stopped crashing so it works for me now.
I'm setting needinfo everyone to see if I'm not the only one. :)
Thank you in advance.

Comment 8 Martin Bříza 2012-06-27 09:57:41 UTC
Well, I just found a report upstream that says this issue is fixed in KDE SC 4.8.0 so I'm closing the report and clearing needinfo.
