Description John Mizell 2002-10-07 15:36:40 UTC
Description of Problem:
Redhat-config-xfree86 does not get the proper results for the monitor when it
probes for sync values.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
redhat-config-xfree86-0.6.7-1

How Reproducible:
I can reproduce everytime.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. run redhat-config-xfree86
2. run ddcprobe
3.

Actual Results:
redhat-config-xfree86
* ddcprobe returned bogus values:
ID: None
Name: None
HorizSync: None
VertSync: None

Expected Results:
HorizSync 31.5-90
VertRefresh 59.0-85.0

Additional Information:

The video card is detected correctly. My hardware is a Dell Inspiron 8000 with a
XGA 15 inch screen and ATI 32 meg M4 video card.

Are you sure DDC is supposed to work? Not all monitors have DDC, and things like
KVMs and some video cards are in the way.

Anyway, assigning to kudzu, as that is what does the actual ddc probe.
