Description David Balažic 1999-12-03 15:56:51 UTC
When I do select of icons on GNOME desktop, so that a box appear, which I
drag to hold the desired icons, then the line making up this box leaves
traces. So if I press the left mouse button on the desktop ( not over an
icon ) and drag it around and then release the button, then the screen will
be filed with traces of that line. I think this appeared with around
XFree86 3.3.3 IIRC, on RH6.0 that time.
I have a Riva TNT card, use the SVGA server, have no background picture.
I didn't notice any other display corruption yet.

I installed from the RH6.1i386 ISO image avalible for download.

This was fixed in 6.1.

Comment 2 David Balažic 2000-02-14 07:45:59 UTC
What 6.1 ?
I am reporting this for Redhat i386 V6.1
XFree86 packages are 3.3.5-3

Comment 3 Preston Brown 2000-02-14 16:29:59 UTC
hmm, please try our 3.3.6 XFree86-SVGA package from rawhide and tell us if it
solves your problems.

Comment 4 David Balažic 2000-02-23 07:20:59 UTC
XFree-SVGA-3.3.6( I think -10 ) still has the bug.
And 3.3.6-11 from RH6.2beta-piglet too.

Comment 5 Preston Brown 2000-05-05 17:22:59 UTC
this is a TNT driver bug.
