Description Roderick Johnstone 2011-11-18 09:19:07 UTC
Description of problem:
In KDE settings / locale I have "Country" set to "United Kingdom" and "Preferred Languages" set to "British English". Only other "Available Language" is "American English".

echo $LANG in a terminal shows it is set to en_GB.UTF-8

In thunderbird under Edit/Preferences/Composition/Spelling tab, Language is shown as English / Hong Kong. Clicking "Spelling" while in the composer shows English (HK) selected.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
thunderbird-7.0.1-1.fc16.x86_64

How reproducible:
Every time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start thunderbird
2. Check language for spelling either in "Edit/Preferences/Composition/Spelling tab" or Click "Spelling" while in the composer
3.

Actual results:
Language is shown as English / Hong Kong

Expected results:
Language is shown as English / United Kingdom

Additional info:
In gedit or kate, "tools/check spelling" shows "Language" as "English (United Kingdom)"
