Description Max Kessler 2011-11-18 21:12:56 UTC
Description of problem:
It doesn't read the current system configuration (repos, installed software other than on the Fedora repo, timezone, UTC, etc.)

I can only get a list of packages available on the Fedora repos. There seems to be no way to add repos with more useful software (ie: livna, rpmfusion-*free).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
2.8.7-2.fc15

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run system-config-kickstart
2. Tell it what timezone, etc. to use.
3. Try to specify packages from livna or rpmfusion repos.

Actual results:
Timezone, etc. remain unspecified.
Installation source can only be one source (kickstart itself supports multiple "repo" options).
Can't specify LVM partitions or partitions with encryption (also supported by kickstart).
Doesn't read firewall configuration.

Expected results:
All existing settings that kickstart supports (especially repos, firewall, partitions/LVM/encryption, and packages) should be honored.

These are all known deficiencies in s-c-ks, and they're not going to be fixed until we get finished reworking the anaconda UI and can use it as s-c-ks instead.
