Thanks for taking the time to file a bug.
For now I'm waiting for upstream to release the compiled version of the 1.2 icon pack.

Comment 3 Damien Gombault 2011-11-23 08:04:30 UTC
I think what is your waiting for is available on the Deviantart page : http://tiheum.deviantart.com/art/Faenza-Icons-173323228

Update to 1.2

Comment 5 Mohamed El Morabity 2012-01-22 19:30:33 UTC
It seems the Googlecode project site wasn't updated for a while. You'd better take the new version of the icons on DeviantArt, as indicated by Damien.
I attach here a patch for the .spec file, which includes the update to the version 1.2, as well as the following fixes:
- Upstream source archive taken now from DeviantArt
- Add missing %build section; even if there is no build process, the macro is *mandatory*
- The description was modified (taken from the DeviantArt page); the previous one was too laconic
- Make the start-here-symbolic.* icons in places/ point to the Fedora one too.

Comment 6 Michel Lind 2012-01-31 00:38:32 UTC
FWIW I've filed an issue on the Googlecode site, let's see if upstream responds:

http://code.google.com/p/faenza-icon-theme/issues/detail?id=8

Having just started using Faenza, it'd be nice to see 1.2 packaged, no matter where it comes from.

Comment 7 Michel Lind 2012-06-02 07:20:18 UTC
Felix -- ping. Could you take a look at Mohamed's patch? If you're too occupied, I can help take a look at it, make sure it's OK and then build and push the updates.

Sadly upstream has yet to respond to the request on the issue tracker ..

Comment 8 Felix Kaechele 2012-06-02 08:10:45 UTC
Well, yes, I think as there is clearly nothing happening upstream I'll just push the changes Mohamed suggested.

Comment 9 Germán Racca 2012-09-25 23:11:37 UTC
Any updates here?

Ping. Felix, can you do the changes? If not, perhaps Mohamed can be made a co-maintainer on this package.

Comment 11 Fedora End Of Life 2013-01-16 22:41:43 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 16 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 16. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora
'version' of '16'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 16's end of life.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 16 is end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on
"Clone This Bug" and open it against that version of Fedora.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping

Comment 12 Fedora End Of Life 2013-02-14 01:14:10 UTC
Fedora 16 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2013-02-12. Fedora 16 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
