Thursday 24 Nov performance suffered and Skynet was hanging for around 20 mins at 3.30pm-ish.
Mon 28 Nov, 11:24. Skynet is slow for me and sgilda.
It's fairly slow during the day, but it becomes almost unusable in my evening, your morning, when everyone else is using it too. I've been sitting for over 10 minutes waiting for an update to complete. I'm still waiting.
Skynet performd pretty well today in Raleigh while everyone was sleeping in Brisbane. ;-)

http://skynet.cloud.lab.eng.bne.redhat.com:8080/TopicIndex/CustomSearchTopics.seam is now up and running (although not with up to date data). Topic rendering will be implemented through a separate service that can be run on external VMs. This will allow the CPU bound workload to be offloaded to another system, freeing up the VM that publishes the web interface.
All memory and CPU heavy tasks have been separated out into services that are now run on separate virtual machines. This frees the VM hosting main web interface from being bogged down with this code, and as a result has fixed the performance issues.
