Description Martijn Dekkers 2002-10-11 07:45:33 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0

Description of problem:
When copying text from a webpage in Mozilla, OOo cannot paste this text. OOo
gives the message "Requested Clipboard Format Is Not Available". I am running
Redhat 8 with bluecurve (sweet!) in GNOME2.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a page in Mozilla
2. Open OpenOffice.org
3. Select Text in Mozilla
4. Paste in OOo
5. Rinse
6. Repeat

Actual Results: OOo present an error message: "Requested Clipboard Format Is
Not Available"

Expected Results: I expected the text to be pasted in OOo

Are you pasting with the Edit/Paste command or by pressing the middle mouse
button? I've noticed the above error when using Edit/Paste, but middle-click
does usually paste. If you choose Edit/Copy in Mozilla and then Edit/Paste in
OO, it usually will work fine.

However, if the text being copied covers multiple lines, paragraphs, or other
HTML structures, the HTML is copied, instead of copying formatting (or just
discarding the formatting) -- guess that's a separate bug).

Also, the "Impress" presentation tool will sometimes report "This function
cannot be run with the selected objects" when middle-click pasting from Mozilla;
I haven't yet isolated when this occurs (sometimes it works fine).

Which version of OpenOffice.org did this bug occur with? 1.01, 1.02?

Comment 3 Dan Williams 2004-02-27 16:40:00 UTC
Please try current OOo 1.1.0, and reopen if problem still occurs

Having the same problem using 1.1.0
