Description of problem:
after logging into GNOME using box with PCIe Matrxo 550, executing glxgears and maximizing it.. Xorg freezes w/o possibility to switch to vt. SSH works. GDB backtrace attached 

it's really an PCIe card although lspci says AGP

I've tried 5.8 and 5.7 .. both affected.. 


Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
mesa-libGL-6.5.1-7.8.el5
mesa-libGLU-6.5.1-7.8.el5

but the same beahiour is seen when using 5.8's


How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1.run glxgears
2.maximize them
3.continue work
  
Actual results:
freeze after a while

Expected results:
no freeze

Honestly, I'd expect you'd hit the same thing with 5.0.

No intention of ever fixing G-series 3D in RHEL5, closing.
