Description Tim Waugh 2011-12-05 16:46:55 UTC
Description of problem:
While sending an email earlier today I briefly saw an error message about failing to append the message to "Sent", and the gist of it was that an output stream was closed. I don't remember having the opportunity to copy the exact wording down, or to grab a copy of my message.

It turns out that the email was not sent, and that a copy had been saved to my local Sent folder.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
evolution-3.2.2-1.fc16.x86_64

How reproducible:
Have not seen it since.

Are you sure the message wasn't sent? Copy to a sent folder is only done when the send is successfully finished. Maybe some failure were not propagated properly to the front part and evo thought the sending was successful?

As it turned out, I had a bounce message a few hours after reporting this... don't know, freak occurrence perhaps. Re-sending it exactly as before worked fine.
