Just was browsing through the code base for extra files, and found that we have 4 outdated files in top level directory: Noticed that none of the URLs given in these files exist. We have to create those files, or remove the content of these files. IMHO, creating/updating these files makes sense. -------------- amar@supernova:~/work/glusterfs.git$ cat AUTHORS CORE TEAM: * Please visit http://www.gluster.org/core-team.php for complete list of contributors. amar@supernova:~/work/glusterfs.git$ cat THANKS * http://www.gluster.org/glusterfs-thanks.php amar@supernova:~/work/glusterfs.git$ cat NEWS Please visit http://www.gluster.org/news.php for news updates. amar@supernova:~/work/glusterfs.git$ cat README GlusterFS is a flexible, powerful, POSIX-compliant cluster filesystem that can scale to several petabytes. GlusterFS works over either TCP/IP or high-performance Infiniband RDMA interconnect. GlusterFS provides striping and on-the-fly synchronous replication of files. GlusterFS has a fully distributed design, with no single point of failure. Please visit http://www.gluster.org/glusterfs.php for more info. amar@supernova:~/work/glusterfs.git$ ------------------ Having a proper 'THANKS' page is nice as a community project, for contributing patches, and bug reports. NEWS link can be linked to gluster.com's news section (though that has more on company than project). Or choose to leave that file empty. AUTHORS file is nice to keep with list of core team members. or a link/URL which involves list of core team members as we had earlier. README can be having link to wiki page I guess.
