While creating directories in a loop and  also bringing the up and down continuously, I observed this error.

PATCH: http://patches.gluster.com/patch/3878 in master (cluster/afr: ignore errno from offline nodes during self-heal)

ignoring the ia_type for children that are down fixed the issue.
