Description of problem:
USB printer not discovered, /dev/usb/lp0, no such device.  Problem persists even
after kudzu is run.

I can print/scan with Win98 running in VMWare (under RH 8.0) to the same device.

It did not seem to find my firewire card, but I can manually load the driver and
it shows up under Win98/VMWare.

I had the printer turned on, accessed it with VMWare/Win98 (it got initialized)
and then I rebooted linux and "it appeared!"  The device was there, /dev/usblp,
and I could "write" to it, but nothing happened to the printer (not even the
test page worked).

At this point, further work on printer configuration in kudzu is not
going to happen; the functionality has moved to HAL.
