It is expected to remove old files. However can you figure out why 3.1.4 directory was not removed?

When we upgrade using rpm -Uvh,it leaves the directory from (3.1.4) old version but erases the old files.

# ls -l /opt/glusterfs/3.1.4/
total 16
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Apr 22 19:03 include
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Apr 22 19:03 lib64
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Apr 22 19:03 sbin
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Apr 9 08:34 share

[root@client9 x86_64]# ls -l /opt/glusterfs/3.1.4/sbin/
total 0

What is the resolution here? Will be closing it as wontfix. Please re-open if we need something else to be done on this.
