xorg.conf elographics setup

Description of problem:
I have an IBM 4820 serial touchscreen, which should work with the elographics driver, but it refuses to control the X cursor. I rebuilt the driver with debug support and it shows the it correctly registers all events and touch coordinates, but it still refuses to move the cursor on screen.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
xorg-x11-drv-elographics-1.3.0-2.fc16.i686

How reproducible:
always

Actual results:
The cursor does not move with or without a mouse attached.

Expected results:
The cursor should follow the location of the touch on the screen.

Additional info:
attached my xorg.conf and Xorg.0.log with elographics debug info
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, we don't have any such devices for testing. The last time the driver has seen an actual fix (beyond untested build fixes and ABI updates) was in 2009. That was probably the last version that saw any testing as well.

The driver has been removed from rawhide (F17). If you have such a device, I really recommend working with the kernel community to get the device supported in the kernel. sorry

Thanks for the reply. I just had the opportunity to test the device in F14, and it was working perfectly with the xorg.conf above. I'm not sure if this helps anything if the driver has been removed already, though.
