Description of problem: $ rpm -q openmpi openmpi-1.5-4.fc16.x86_64 The 1.5 series is a beta release series. According to http://svn.open-mpi.org/svn/ompi/branches/v1.5/NEWS e.g. issues with -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 have been hitherto fixed. The rawhide branch has already been updated to 1.5.4. Please push the update to f15 and f16, both of which already are in the 1.5 series.
