Created attachment 547744 [details] mcpp patch from ZeroC.com Description of problem: There's a known bug in mcpp 2.7.2 that breaks several of the compilers included in ice-3.4.2 -- a forum posting describing the issue is here: http://www.zeroc.com/forums/bug-reports/5309-mishap-slice-compilers.html#post23180 And the necessary patch is included in this tarball: http://www.zeroc.com/download/Ice/3.4/ThirdParty-Sources-3.4.2.tar.gz I'll also attach the patch to this bug report Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): mcpp-2.7.2-5.fc15.x86_64 Additional info: Apparently mcpp upstream isn't able to make a new release fixing this issue: http://www.zeroc.com/forums/bug-reports/5309-mishap-slice-compilers.html#post23231
Oh, I now see that the Fedora maintainer of mcpp (Kiyoshi Matsui) is also the upstream mcpp developer. I'll try to get a patched version built myself now if you still don't have time to maintain things.
Oh, hee -- I see that I'm already a co-maintainer. Well, I'll try to get this fixed up today myself then. :)
