Description Erinn Looney-Triggs 2011-12-20 01:46:02 UTC
Description of problem:
It looks like this bug may have not been fixed:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/freeipa-users/2011-September/msg00162.html

The short of it is, if anaynmous binds are disabled on the IPA server ipa-client-install on RHEL 5 is unable to run.

ipa-client-2.0-14.el5_7.1

Errata was just issued. Can you please give it a try? There was an issue that we fixed in 2.1.

Comment 2 Erinn Looney-Triggs 2011-12-20 17:59:46 UTC
Hmm ok, all I am seeing is 2.0 packages in the technical notes for 5.8 and in general. Here is the latest one that I can find errata for: https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2011-1841.html.

Let me know if I am looking in the wrong places, but it looks like 2.1 might not be out the doors yet.

ipa-client-2.0-14.el5_7.2 fixes only the referer issue.

The package will be rebased to 2.1.3 in RHEL 5.8. That should address this.
