Description of problem: Execute xm shutdown or xm reboot when the guest is booting. The xend.log shows the following message: [2011-12-20 17:53:19 xend.XendDomainInfo 3219] DEBUG (XendDomainInfo:1335) XendDomainInfo.handleShutdownWatch [2011-12-20 17:53:19 xend.XendDomainInfo 3219] DEBUG (XendDomainInfo:1335) XendDomainInfo.handleShutdownWatch [2011-12-20 17:53:49 xend.XendDomainInfo 3219] INFO (XendDomainInfo:1323) Domain shutdown timeout expired: name=vmtest1 id=20 Then the guest cannot be shut-down or reboot using xm, not even after the guest completes the booting process. Shutdown or reboot from inside the guest works though. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): xenpv-win-1.3.12-3.el5 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a Windows guest, install xenpv-win driver, then reboot. 2. xm shutdown the guest when it is booting. 3. xm shutdown the guest after it completes booting. Actual results: Cannot shutdown the guest using xm. Expected results: The guest could at least be shutdown by xm after the boot process completed.
