Description Matthias H 2011-12-21 11:13:31 UTC
Description of problem:

When I click on the console icon the spice client starts and shows me the VM and the console icon gets disabled. But when I close the spice client window the icon doesn't get reenabled. I have to reload the page always to be able to open up the spice client window again.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Latest git checkout.

Additional info:
I'm using Firefox 8 and a self-built spice-xpi (built against the firefox 8 sdk) on Debian

commit 18bc0fefc9f287a4b5a3dc40d8bf88eedbe0091d

Comment 2 Matthias H 2012-01-11 16:26:06 UTC
Hi,

sorry but this commit doesn't solve the problem. The symbol now has a border around it, but after closing the spice window it still doesn't get reenabled.

Comment 3 Matthias H 2012-01-13 14:10:04 UTC
Just a hint. The console icon can be always reenabled after each "stop" of a machine, because the spice window gets closed then.

Comment 4 Juan Hernández 2012-06-14 17:08:41 UTC
I see this same behaviour with Firefox 13 in Fedora 17, using build based on commit dd65f35351e2806896b3f163b03b527ebd6c247e (3.1 beta test day).

Comment 5 Itamar Heim 2012-06-14 19:28:02 UTC
can you please check from a rhel 6.2 client?
i remember some spice xpi bug around this.
if it works in rhel 6.2, it's probably the spice-xpi bug.

Comment 6 Juan Hernández 2012-06-14 19:51:47 UTC
Yes, it does work with a RHEL 6.2 client.

Comment 7 Juan Hernández 2012-06-14 20:00:08 UTC
This spice-xpi update (2.7-2) fixes the problem in my Fedora 17 environment:

https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2012-9296

The updated package is not yet in the stable repositories, but you can install it as follows:

yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing spice-xpi

Comment 8 Itamar Heim 2012-06-17 06:28:59 UTC
I think it is in stable by now.

Comment 9 Juan Hernández 2012-06-17 17:47:25 UTC
Yes, it was moved to stable on 012-06-15 12:21:35, I am closing the bug.
