Description Dennis H 2011-12-28 03:29:45 UTC
Description of problem:

Please see attached pm-utils-bugreport-info.txt. Have been unable to resume for a while, maybe 2 or 3 months and this system is updated a few times a week. It is presently failing at the 'processors' debug test. Suspend appears to complete normally but resuming fails without posting anything to /var/log/pm-suspend.log. The "platform" debug test always resumes fine.

dmesg | grep "hash matches" does not bring up a suspect driver.

This is a Dell Latitude E6510 running 3.1.6.-1.fc16.x86_64 Core i7 740 QM 1.73

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

kernel-3.1.5-2.fc16
kernel-3.1.5-6.fc16
kernel-3.1.6-1.fc16
pm-utils-1.4.1-12.fc16

package hal-info is not installed
gnome-power-manager-3.2.1-1.fc16
package vbetool is not installed
package radeontool is not installed
hdparm-9.36-2.fc15

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. echo processors > /sys/power/pm_test
2. echo reboot > /sys/power/disk
3. echo disk > /sys/power/state

Actual results:
Blank screen, hung system, no capslock toggle on resume

Expected results:
Resume

Hello, has this bug been looked at yet? Any additional info I can provide? Is there any advice for me to achieve some form of hibernate or suspend? Thank you for your time,
