Description of problem: virt-install should not allow to create image with format=raw in the unmanaged storage if format=qcow2 or vmdk it will show the error : ERROR Format cannot be specified for unmanaged storage. According to man help page of virt-install : format "Image format to be used if creating managed storage. " Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): python-virtinst-0.600.0-5.el6.noarch libvirt-0.9.8-1.el6.x86_64 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. run virt-install with format=raw #virt-install -n test -r 512 -l http://download.englab.nay.redhat.com/pub/rhel/rel-eng/latest-RHEL-6/6.2/Server/x86_64/os/ --disk /tmp/test.img,size=6,format=raw Starting install... Retrieving file .treeinfo... | 3.3 kB 00:00 ... Retrieving file vmlinuz... 2. 3. Actual results: start install guest Expected results: should not start install guest .should pop up error message like : ERROR Format cannot be specified for unmanaged storage.
