Created attachment 550137 [details] messages excerpt Description of problem: I have been attempting to set up my wiimote (a bluetooth device) as an input device. On both attempts, Fedora hung and required a hard reboot. The second time, I got something in /var/log/messages Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): kernel-3.1.6-1.fc16.x86_64 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. yum install cwiid{,-python2,-wminput,-utils} wiiuse 2. wmgui 3. File->Connect 4. Follow instructions (press 1 and 2 simultaneously on wiimote) 5. Press buttons on wii and note that wmgui picks up the button presses 6. File->Quit 7. Run xwii (not packaged for Fedora, so you would need to compile it yourself) Actual results: Hang with GPF on screen (see 2 GPFs in attached excerpt from /var/log/messages). (The hang may actually occur before this point, and without a GPF on screen.) Expected results: No hang Additional info: Due to abrt bug 771077, I cannot use abrt to report this bug.
Could you install kernel-debug and see if you get a more usable backtrace?
Created attachment 550770 [details] oopses from kernel-debug in xen domU I used a Xen virtual machine to get these oopses so I could avoid crashing my machine. I can do it again on my real machine if you want.
[mass update] kernel-3.3.0-4.fc16 has been pushed to the Fedora 16 stable repository. Please retest with this update.
