Since RHEL 6.3 External Beta has begun, and this bug remains
unresolved, it has been rejected as it is not proposed as
exception or blocker.

Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to
propose this request, if appropriate and relevant, in the
next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Comment 4 tvizirov 2012-05-07 08:47:49 UTC
Yes,

Please include this in the next release.

Thanks.

This request was not resolved in time for the current release.
Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to
propose this request, if still desired, for consideration in
the next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

What specific ISDN hardware is being used?

Comment 8 Uwe Beck 2013-01-13 20:11:53 UTC
- AVM FRITZ!Card PCI v2.0
- AVM FRITZ!Card PCI v2.1
- AVM FRITZ!Card PCMCIA v2.0

Comment 9 Dan Williams 2013-01-18 18:20:11 UTC
Thanks; do those use the HiSax driver in the kernel? At least from the information I can see, they do. I have just purchased USB ISDN TA to better determine the amount of work it will take to better integrate IDSN support.

Can you provide any of the configuration settings you're using with your provider? If there are sensitive items or passwords, obviously don't include those, but please indicate that they exist.

Thanks!

No provider for internet. We use ISDN for remote support. ISDN remote station can be
a cisco ISDN router, Bintec Bianca/Brick ISDN router or RHEL ISDN ippp0 interface.

Parameter we need:
- PAP/CHAP
- authentication by MSN
- callback via D-cannel
- dynamic channel bundling
- dial on demand
- BSDCOMP, VJ, VJCCOMP, CCP, LZS, LZS_MODE, MRU, MTU

Please find working configuration files from RHEL5 at Red Hat hotline case 332243

Thank you for submitting this issue for consideration in Red Hat Enterprise Linux. After further consideration, Red Hat does not plan to incorporate the suggested capability in a future release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Based on our existing NetworkManager priorities, we will not be able to implement this on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6. However, we will continue to work on your other request as outlined in BZ 602265.
