Description of problem:
kernel-2.6.18-274.7.1.el5 and higher cause Puppet to hang

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
kernel-2.6.18-274.7.1.el5+

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Update Kernel
2. Daemonize Puppet
3. Puppet hangs
  
Actual results:
Hang

Expected results:
Correct run

Additional info:
May be related to bugzilla #751214 but since that's locked I cannot tell so I'm submitting new.

Can you strace puppet to see what it's doing?  You have the right version of the kernel to be hitting the problem in bug 751214.

This problem is fixed by kernel-2.6.18-274.17.1.el5

This bug/component is not included in scope for RHEL-5.11.0 which is the last RHEL5 minor release.
