Could you provide me with a way to reproduce the bug?

Thanks for reporting!

Comment 2 Orange 2012-01-10 07:17:41 UTC
I think this was a bug related to a missing dependency, I tried to use this one and it wasn't working, now it is, but I can't remember what I did, sorry.

However I do have some suspicions on what I did, here are two.

Alacarte problem with a missing dependency.
http://blog.mclaughlinsoftware.com/2011/11/24/gnome-menu-editing-fix/

Gnome-password-generator(maybe I installed the gnome-python2-bonobo)
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=756900#c2

Every Python dependent app on one of those libraries was crashing.

Comment 3 Pierre-YvesChibon 2012-01-11 10:24:07 UTC
I doubt that this has to do with missing dependencies.

Looking at the backtrace it says:

create_regex
: app.REmsg = True
:NameError: global name 'app' is not defined

That's more like a variable which is not set in the code.

I will close this bug for the moment but please do re-open it if you manage to reproduce it in which case I think we should bring it upstream.

Thanks for reporting.
