It usually works, but recently I have seen it fail like this a couple of times.

(I would also expect this trace to have a structure that made it clear if it was an oops or what was going on, and some markup that abrt could use for catching it.)

There were some fixes in the memory compaction code that went into the 3.2.x kernels.  Have you seen this with the 3.2.7 or newer kernel updates?

I haven't seen this for a while ... and I think it disappeared before I got 3.2.7.
