Description of problem: my /etc/auto.home: * -rw,fstype=nfs4 bridge.fresse.org:/home/& Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 5.0.6-4.fc16 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. put /home /etc/auto.home in auto.master 2. restart automounter 3. try mounting a share in /home Actual results: Jan 11 12:40:29 kind automount[1820]: Starting automounter version 5.0.6-4.fc16, master map auto.master Jan 11 12:40:29 kind automount[1820]: using kernel protocol version 5.02 Jan 11 12:40:30 kind automount[1820]: mounted indirect on /home with timeout 300, freq 75 seconds Jan 11 12:40:32 kind automount[1820]: attempting to mount entry /home/freundt Jan 11 12:40:33 kind automount[1820]: mount(nfs): no hosts available Jan 11 12:40:33 kind automount[1820]: failed to mount /home/freundt Expected results: /home/freundt should have been mounted. Could this be related to my problem that I can't get autofs on another (Mandriva) machine to be able to automount a Fedora 16 x86_64 machine? Details are on Fedora Forum here: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=278702 In the latest update http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showpost.php?p=1569503&postcount=3 I mention that manual mounting works fine, yet automounting won't work when trying to mount the F16 machine. All other cases work fine. Thanks.
This message is a reminder that Fedora 16 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 16.
